The shrinkage rate of Metal Injection Molding

Vaccum sintering is the last procedure of Metal Injection Molding technology,vaccum sintering process could eliminates the gap between the metal powder particle and make the Metal Injection Molding parts become densifying.As a small amount of binder is used on Metal Injection Molding process,so the shrinkage rate would be exsited,so the shrinkage rate would achieve 13%-25%,so there is a problem about the deformation control and dimension precision control would be occured.

The proportional feedstock is a very important factor about the dimension control and deformation control for the sintering parts.For iron-based and stainless steel parts,there is problem about the carbon potential control.As the cost of fine powder is high relatively,so the research about the strengthening sintering technology of the parts which are produced by coarse powder has become an important approach to reduce the production cost.
